Republicans eye running in 'crucial' Wisconsin districtPotential Republican candidates began to jockey for position Thursday ahead of a likely stampede to run for an open Wisconsin congressional seat in a district that's a conservative hotbed and key to President Donald Trump's re-election hopes. U.S. Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner announced Wednesday that he won't run for a 22nd term representing the suburban Milwaukee area, long the heart of Wisconsin's conservative base. Running up the numbers there has long been the lynchpin for successful statewide Republican candidates.

One of the major, and most valid, criticisms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the last decade has been the franchise’s lack of memorable villains. The MCU has definitely improved the quality of their bad guys over the last few years thanks to the likes of Killmonger and Thanos, but that doesn’t make Yellowjacket, Malekith or Aldrich Killian any less forgettable. Obviously, the MCU is sold on the strength of its heroes so the argument could be made that the villains don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, but the way Thanos was presented as a major threat to the studio’s entire universe was one of the reasons that the character worked so well as the main antagonist of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame . A few days ago, a clip from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker made its way online that shows Kylo Ren journeying to a mysterious location while Palpatine feeds ominous words into his mind. In this moody sequence, the Original Trilogy villain confirms an old fan theory when he reveals that he was the voice in Ben Solo’s head this whole time. But if recent speculation has it right, then Sheev may not be the only familiar remnant of a previous Star Wars era to have a presence in the scene. At the 40-second mark, after Kylo has descended into the giant stone structure, you’ll find a shot featuring a mysterious shape in the background.
